Nancy lived in the oldest incorporated town in the state of Washington, Steilacoom, for twenty years before moving to Lakewood. Nancy first focused her history-based books on Lakewood's 150th anniversary. In 2011, she began research for a work about American Lake to supplement the dearth of published histories on the lake.view less
