His eagerness to provide a tangible memorial for his two wives propelled the planning of the two biographies and his desire not to be remembered as “Irving who?” led him to also include his own autobiography.
Actually, Irving is no stranger to publishing, having served as advertising manager, business manager and publisher of The Knitting Times, an international trade magazine. During his tenure, he created and designed over 3,000 advertisementsfor clients who did not have an advertising agency. He is also a Jewish community leader and social activist.
With all his accomplishments, he is most proud of his philanthropic activity.
He lives in Bernard, Maine and Tucson, Arizona. He has four children and six grandchildren, all of whom affectionately call him “Zayde.” As an octogenarian, he aspires to live until the proverbial 120 and intends to undertake many additional projects and write two additional books during his lifetime.view less
