Her dedication and commitment to people soon led her to join the Peace Corps and she spent three years in South America where she developed severe rheumatoid arthritis at thirty. Despite the ongoing challenges of poor health throughout much of her life, she has faced great adversity with all the optimism and undaunted spirit that is quintessential Lois Ann. A true creative genius, Lois Ann expresses her extraordinary zest for life in many ways: author, artist, teacher, philosopher. To behold her vibrant canvases is to experience the depths of her colorful character and passionate soul. Her writing reaches out with wit and wisdom, drawing you into the unknown worlds of her rich imagination.
