Fiona stumbled into writing and illustrating children picture books when one day she randomly decided to write and illustrate a story about three slimy slugs for her Dad (a slightly eccentric father of four whose favourite bedtime stories to his children were always about yucky slugs and bugs) as a Christmas present in 2012. Since then the once-upon-a-slime books have multiplied into a series of books to encourage little people out into the garden to bug hunt and explore. Fiona has really enjoyed writing ‘Once-upon-a-TOXIC-Slime’, the first story she has written aimed at older children, however her two small people aged 3 and 6 were more scared of this spooky slime story than her normal children’s books!view less
