With a Ph.D. in Biblical Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary, most recently she served as Professor of Biblical Studies and Exposition and Chair of the Bible and Theology Department at the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary (AGTS), Evangel University in Springfield, MO. Her special research and writing interests include: whole-life discipleship, Christian formation and spirituality, theology of work, and women in ministry and leadership. Deborah's husband, Jan, is an architect specializing in church design and an artist specializing in painting. Today she serves as founder and director of Sherpa: Guidance for the Spiritual Climb, a charitable organization focused on spiritual formation and soul care.view less
