Based in Hampshire, he operated three 1950s era motor coaches on hire for weddings, birthdays and private hire along with extensive film and TV production work. An enthusiast for all vintage machinery, his interest in the subject was firmly established as a child when family visits involved journeys on Guy buses. An accomplished photographer and writer, he has previously written other books on classic transport subjects, has edited car club magazines, contributed articles to published magazines and helped with the restoration of several old buses.
