Then came poetry. But it was when my children left home and I found time to write my first novel that I felt completeI have been greatly influenced by biographical novels and nonfiction works such as The Conspiracy of Fools. I am also a fan of Somerset Maugham and John Grisham--anything that involves lawyers and complex characters. My marriage to a British lawyer also helped me develop a deep insight into the legal profession. My second book 'of breeding and birth' written for my husband, is a novel about lawyers, the good, the bad, the holy and not so holy. And I enjoyed every minute writing it.A lawyer is always lurking somewhere in my books. I can never escape them. I don't want to. They have been an integral part of my life--a life filled with everything you could hope for. And mostly love which my book Born Of Love bears out.As far back as I can remember, there was a nagging that wouldn't let go of me and from the very first book, at the end of the very first page, the nagging left and never returned. We don't always discover who we are, or who we are meant to be. But when we do, there is no feeling in the world, except perhaps love, that can transport us into the realm of the immortals, to live our lives in the splendour of unforgettable moments of certainty of who we are and what we are put on earth for into which my writing delves. As Alexander Pope said -- Know then thyself, presume not God to scan. The proper study of mankind is man. ---And thus it is.Love, hope, passion. Be it for another, be it for God, what would we do, what would we be without it--nothing, and how much less could we be!Now I am without my husband, but not his memory. That lives on in all my novels. But that is another story, and one I hope you will discover between the pages of this book.Live...cast doubt aside, evil and uncertainty. And who knows what we may find within ourselves!view less
