As a freelance film technician, he was involved in Swiss, German, French and US feature films. +79-1984 as co-founder of Cactus Film AG and co-producer of the following films, among others: GLUT by Thomas Koerfer, YOL by Yilmaz Güney (Golden Palm, Cannes 1982 and Zurich Film Prize 1983).1985 founded his own production company, Edi Hubschmid AG. He was executive producer for Condor Films, including: Der Grüne Heinrich by Thomas Koerfer, The Lost Daughter by Roger Cardinal, The Dybbuk of the Holy Apple Field by Yossi Somer. Own productions: Liebeserklärung by Georg Janett, Ursula Bischof and Edi Hubschmid, Leo Sonnyboy by Rolf Lyssy. 1999-2005 Co-founder of C-Films AG and producer: Spuren im Eis by Walter Weber, Das Mädchen aus der Fremde by Peter Reichenbach and Peter Indergand, Azzurro by Denis Rabaglia.
