He earned a Masters in Education Administration from the University of San Francisco and a Doctorate in Education with a minor in Counselling Psychology from University of the Pacific.
Dr. Sherrod’s teaching began with 8 years in 7th grade, followed by high school teaching and a 5-year position as student-peer conflict management trainer and advisor of 60 student-peer conflict managers at a high school of 2400 students.
Administrative credentials enabled positions from assistant principal to principal and, eventually, as a superintendent of schools in a K-12 District. The author performed as a co-therapist, working with students re-entering high school after completing substance abuse interventions.
There were several years in between these positions in which the author followed his more basic interest and drove log trucks in Washington, Oregon, and California.view less
