Prior to the call of God in 1987, he taught adult education over a period of sixteen years at Makerere University, Uganda; the University of Zambia; and the University of Swaziland before joining politics. He served as cabinet minister and minister of education during the Obote II administration from 1980 to the day the military toppled the government in a bloody coup on July 27, 1985.
He survived the coup only to fall victim to the upheavals the coup birthed and suffered incarceration at Luzira Maximum Security Prison for seven years. He was sentenced to death, allegedly for treason, but was, by the grace of God, acquitted by the Uganda High Court on January 17, 1994. He had no case to answer!
Then he answered the call of God as prophet to the nations.
Professor Ojok is cofounder and head of New Jerusalem Tabernacle Ministries, an itinerant evangelist, intercessor, apostle, and prophet that God uses mightily to heal all diseases and set captives free. He is married and blessed with children and grandchildren.
He is the author of The Bloody Road to Life and From the Gallows to the Harvest.view less
