Dominic Savio Obour is a Catholic priest from Ghana, West Africa, and belongs to the Catholic Diocese of Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo region. Ordained on December 4, 2004, he was sent to work as associate administrator of Christ the King Cathedral, Sunyani, from January to August 2005. From September 2005 to December 2011, Fr. Dominic worked as the first substantive school chaplain and professional tutor at Notre Dame Girls High School at Fiapre-Sunyani. At present, he is ministering at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Katonah, New York, while pursuing a master’s in public relations at Iona College, New Rochelle.
As someone who hails from a lowly background and had to work his way through many toils, pains, and uncertainties, and having helped and guided many young girls to discover and nurture their divinely endowed selves and talents, Fadastone, as he is affectionately called, appears to have mastered a unique way of helping you get the best out of the worst.
The young priest sums up his thoughts in this write-up in the following lines: “Hope remains the only catalyst out of the distress and stress of a fast-paced life of modernity. Hope is key to life, without which life journey abruptly ends dismally and abysmally.”view less
