Born in New York, the city that never sleeps, I was always looking for far-away places and people. School was fun for me, and I got a scholarship to the University of Wisconsin at the age of 16.
With the Second World War still burning, I knew I would have to take my place in it as an American. My first visit to Europe gave me a chance at love with women while working towards my Doctorate at the Sorbonne.
Later, in Geneva with a wife and two children, I was a reporter for the World Health Organization. They sent me to India where I lived for six years, going to most of the countries in Asia, and saw so many different ways of living. Today, my daughter lives in Australia and my son in California.
Wherever I go, I sketch with India ink for pleasure.view less
