She currently works as assistant manager of the Forensic Assessment Consultation and Treatment (FACT) Program at Shawnee Mission Medical Center in Shawnee Mission, Kansas and is the president and owner of Johnson Legal Nurse Consulting, LLC. Jennifer Johnson earned her doctorate of nursing practice from Maryville University in St. Louis and her master of science in nursing from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. Jennifer Johnson is an appointed member of a number of professional and governmental organizations related to forensic medicine, including the National Institute of Standards and Technology/National Institute for Justice Evidence Management Project and End Violence Against Women International’s Medical Forensic Expert Panel. She is a regular guest speaker at medical and forensic professional conferences throughout the United States and is frequently called upon to stand as an expert witness in cases of child abuse and sexual assault.view less
