Brungardt, D.O., is a bridge player, author and watercolor artist by day, sleepy by night. She’s retired from Family Practice medicine in Wyoming and she and her husband moved to Arizona in 2002. Her arthritis rather loudly pointed out how much better warm weather feels. She loves reading science fiction/fantasy as her main genre. She is an award-winning watercolor artist and author. She is the President of the Saddlebrooke Fine Arts Guild in Tucson, Arizona and is also involved with the Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild. The COVID-19 virus has stayed away from her and her husband; for which they are very grateful. However, she says a lot of Hail Marys during the days; its a 20-second prayer and gets her through the washing with dignity. With unexpected time on her hands, she's made a buttload of pleated masks, finished draft 2 of Book 2 of the Exchanger series, "Exchanging" and has started a fantasy novel, 'By the Horses's wings'. Karen's a firm believer there are not enough books with winged horses as main characters, so she's writing her own.K. E. was raised mostly in Missouri, giving her that Midwest friendliness, and attended medical school in Kansas City but practiced in a “womb to tomb” Family Practice in a small town in Wyoming, from which she retired in 2001.“Exchanger” is her debut novel and “Dr. Trouble” (found on Amazon) is her debut novella, both sci-fi/fantasy.view less
