Despite her self-confessed egotistical, opinionated style of writing, and despite displaying some immaturity and paranoia, she believes she has outlined a culture and lifestyle unique to London from 1945 to 1967 - the time between her birth and occupation. In her autobiography, she outlines the feelings she experienced and the scenes she witnessed as a rebellious child and teenager, and naïve young woman. Later commentary has been added in the form of historical and personal footnotes to put the work in context and add to its authenticity. She says she has been as factual as her memory will allow and is confident of 95% accuracy, but apologises if any incidents have been misunderstood or misinterpreted, and also apologises for her constant "whinges".view less
