Barry H. Leeds, CSU Distinguished Professor Emeritus at Central Connecticut State University, is the author of three previous books: The Structured Vision of Norman Mailer, Ken Kesey, and The Enduring Vision of Norman Mailer. He received his B.A. (1962) and M.A. (1963) from Columbia, and his Ph.D. from Ohio University (1967). Dr. Leeds has taught at CCSU since January, 1968, and prior to that at the City University of New York, the University of Texas at El Paso, and Ohio University (Athens). He has lectured at universities and conferences nationwide and internationally, and has been interviewed in a variety of media: television, radio, and newspapers. He was Editor-in-Chief of Connecticut Review from 1989-1992, and a member of the Editorial Board from 1986-1995. He is Vice-President of the Norman Mailer Society and a member of the Editorial Board of The Mailer Review. Professor Leeds has served as a consultant to various university presses, administrations, and organizations such as the Association of American Medical Colleges. He is listed in Who’s Who in America, and over a dozen other such directories.view less
