It is a pleasure to share my vision of the game and try to create a realm of realism captured in a fictional story. I played competitive hockey for the last 20+ years of my life (AAA, Junior B, Junior C and Senior AA, as well as attending rookie camps with the Sarnia Sting [OHL] and training camps with a few minor professional teams in the United States). I also coached for about six years off and on (Bantam AA, Junior C and venturing into my own player development camps), so I bring a lot of positive and negative experiences to my writing.Having had time to digest the highs and lows of my hockey career, I look to give my readers some insight into real-life scenarios and create awareness that achieving your goals in hockey is not just a one-tracked venture, but one that will require overcoming adversity and taking on challenges that test your character. It is not easy and many have hit barriers—including myself—that were seemingly unbreakable. My hope is that I can inspire young hockey players to persevere and never lose track of their goals!view less
