After graduating from teachers’ college, he worked as a salesman and an actor before he started teaching public speaking courses in New York City. His lectures became the basis for How to Win Friends and Influence People, which has been published in over thirty languages. Carnegie died of Hodgkin’s disease in 1955.view less
