In 2003, she received an award from the Black Expressions Annual Fiction Writing Contest for the first chapter of her then titled manuscript, Saving the Best for Last, which is now the full length novel Secret Sisterhood. She currently lives with her family in Cary, NC, where she is working on her next novel.view less
