Writing has, as he says, “always been a part of [his] life, a way to sort things out.”
After many years as a volunteer in the homeless community, in 2001, Ron left his work in the corporate world and became the executive director of a thriving mission to the poor and the homeless of Boston. To Ron, the job was much less a leadership job but a frontline, boots-on-the-ground learning experience.
With the help of others, Ron has founded what might have been the first ever book club for the homeless and two additional urban a missions to low income in the Greater Boston area.
