She writes and recites poetry in both English and Swahili. She is also a contributing writer at Kenya Empowerment Newspaper, a Diaspora newspaper based in Atlanta, Georgia.
She is a motivational speaker, working with the young and young at heart. Her original work, “Georgia, my Peach,” was featured on the International Society of Poets’ website. She is currently working on an autobiography that is due to be published soon, as well as another book of poetry in Swahili.
Born in Kenya, she began her teaching career at Igembe Boys High School in Meru, Kenya, where she taught English, Swahili and Geography.
She is a devoted mother of two: a daughter and a son. She is actively involved in the community as a volunteer , teacher and mentor . She is an avid reader and enjoys learning new languages.view less
