Wanda Schnebly was recognized for her work for persons with disabilities by the Winnebago and Iowa Associations for Retarded Children, the Iowa Council of Developmental Disabilitie...view moreWanda Schnebly was recognized for her work for persons with disabilities by the Winnebago and Iowa Associations for Retarded Children, the Iowa Council of Developmental Disabilities, United Cerebral Palsy of Iowa, Winnebago Handicapped Services, a.k.a. Krysilis, and Handicap Village. She was the founder and first executive director of Winnebago Handicapped Services, a.k.a. Krysilis. She was named to the 1977–78 edition of Who’s Who of American Women. She lived with her husband Orvin and four children, Kirby, Kerry, Kyle and Kelly in Forest City, Iowa, during the years of this story. She currently lives in Southern California.
