She grew up in the Caribbean, where her father was a dentist and she and her family moved frequently from island to island because of his professional obligations. Pearl later moved to Harlem, and later Brooklyn , New York where she eventually spread her own wings of independence and began a fascinating trip through life. Today, she lives in St. Petersburg, Florida. Black Pearl is her first book. Co-authored with her daughter.view less
