After graduating f...view moreJane Brawley was born on March 5, 1951 to Bobby and Betty Brawley. She has one sibling, her brother, Robert Brawley. She grew up in the small town of Mooresville, North Carolina. After graduating from Mooresville High School in 1969, she attended Erskine College, in Due West, South Carolina from 1969-2917 with a music scholarship in piano. Music remains one of her loves. She transferred to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1971 and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education in 1973. Jane then taught school mostly in Charlotte, NC and then worked in other professions. Throughout her life Jane has written her own simplistic form of prose and poems. She expresses her faith and real sentiments now to share in a variety of fiction and non fiction life events. Jane was later married and divorced, changing her last name to Jordan and had three beautiful children, sons, Scott, Jamie and Kevin Jordan. She has continued to live in Charlotte, North Carolina to the present date.
In 2003 Jane started posting her poems online at poetry.com sponsored by The International Library of Poetry. She received the Editor’s Choice award for her works in the years 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2008. Such poems are included in this collection of her writings. She has written poems to commemorate the marriage in 2011 of His Royal Highness, Prince William Mountbatten-Windsor, the Duke of Cambridge to his wife Catherine, known as Kate, and later at their first year anniversary. In 2013 at the time of the birth of their first child, she wrote a poem for Prince George Alexander Louis Windsor. All poems were warmly responded to by the royal couple.
