He worked as a computer programmer, manager of information systems, systems analyst, and data processing liaison for corporate acquisitions.
As an entrepreneur, he opened the first personal care group home in Savannah, Georgia. He is the founder and CEO of the Fort Screven Preservation Organization, a non-profit corporation trying to preserve coastal fortifications from the late 19th Century. Mr. Cawley is also a licensed financial services professional.
He is a true renaissance man in that his education, vocations and avocations run the gamut from a business career, computer degree, health science coursework, financial services licensing, dramatic studies, community theater performances, musical studies and compositions, as well as historic preservation and a lifelong love of the written word.
Or, it could be that he just never decided what he wanted to be when he grew up.
He is one of those heroes who found a job and worked to support his family for many years, while putting his own dreams on hold.
He currently lives with his wife, Florence Cawley and several cats on Tybee Island, Georgia.view less
