Growing up as the oldest son o...view moreAs Mark Harden is a retired US Army chief warrant officer 3 whose service to his country spanned four decades, his military career has carried him all over the world. Growing up as the oldest son of a Korean War veteran, he witnessed firsthand the damage that a service member’s combat experience can inflict on a family. Returning from Somalia on Christmas Eve 1993, he began the long journey toward healing. Since 2000, as a manager of veterans’ affairs and adjunct faculty at Austin Community College in Austin, Texas, Mr. Harden has had the honor and privilege of working with veterans from WWII to the ongoing war in Afghanistan. He currently lives in Georgetown, Texas.view less
