He was in the reserves until he was called into the K...view moreThe author of this book was a member of the armed services during WWII, serving in the Army Signal Corps overseas in the South Pacific Theatre. He was in the reserves until he was called into the Korean War but was released to perform military research and development work at one of the excellent global scientific and technological research and development organizations for over sixty-one years. His work covered the fields of engineering, biology, mathematics, computers, quality assurance, and management. He taught undergraduate and graduate mathematics for seven years in the evening school at a local state university and at the a Metropolitan College as well as being a teaching assistant for graduate studies in mathematics that was held by another local state university in the evening-course program. He is a retired professional engineer in the states of Missouri and Kansas, a past member of numerous professional societies, an author of over one hundred numerous technical paper presentations, technical paper and book publications, and technical reports in the fields of disaster management engineering, management and leadership, and quality assurance. His hobbies include competitive running, weight lifting, calisthenics, wood working, and solving problems.view less
