At that time, my father was a traveling minister by calling, and by trade, he drove a school bus, was a lumber jack, and a welder and anything else that would pay the bills and put food on the table. My mother was a stay at home mom. In an effort to seek a better life for their family, my father and mother enrolled in college and obtained their teaching certifications in the late 1980’s.
In 1987, my father and mother moved to Zion, IL where they taught High School in the tri-cities of Zion, Waukegan and North Chicago. I graduated from Zion-Benton High School in 1994. I enlisted in the U.S. Navy the same year and was honorably discharged in 1996. I graduated from the College of Lake County in 1999 with an Associate Arts degree in History. In 2001, I graduated from Columbia College of Park City, IL with a Bachelors Degree in History. I went on to work as a corrections officer for the County of Lake until I was offered a position as a Police Officer with the Lake County Forest Preserve in 2003. In 2005, I was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. That same year, I was married to my long time sweetheart, Katrina. We now have to hold and love two beautiful girls, Kalinn and Kaylee.
This is my second book that I have written. My first book, The Day I saw Color, was written and published in 2006.view less
