In 2007, he was a member of the National Evangelical Campaign in Defense of Life and Family, sponsored by the Evangelical Parliamentary Caucus, and one of the founders of the National Pro-Life and Pro-Family Network in Brazil.
He has translated into Portuguese the books The God of Sex, by Dr. Peter Jones, and The Way Home, by homeschool leader Mary Pride.
Severo has been subject to several homosexualist attacks. One major attack was a campaign by homosexualist group AllOut, which boasts more than 500,000 members, successfully pressuring PayPal to terminate Severo’s account. In a listing of the top ten anti-Christian acts in 2011, the Christian Anti-Defamation Commission ranked the gay pressure on PayPal as fourth, as reported by Charisma magazine.view less
