Betrayal at Plymouth
Greasy gizzards, flying feathers
Oh the difference it would make,
If the Pilgrims had decided
To give thanks with sirloin steak.
Over the past 65 years, numerous magazines and newspapers have published her work. Humorous verse, op-eds, personal essays and social commentary have appeared in Good Housekeeping, The Wall Street Journal, Cosmopolitan, Woman's Day, Family Circle, the Washington Post, the Chicago Tribune, the Christian Science Monitor and Newsday, among many others.
Her first book, How to Succeed at Aging without Really Dying, a collection of humorous essays published in 2010, appeared on Amazon's 2011 list of the Top 100 Books. and was published in Germany under the title : Wo Ist Meine Lesebrille (Where Are My Reading Glasses?)
Residing in Somers, New York, with Russ,, her husband of 64 years, Ward enjoys reading, wrestling with crossword puzzles and Double Crostics, baking, knitting, crocheting, and watching endless reruns of "Seinfeld."view less
