She does not live in a cute high-tech cottage in the middle of the woods with her husband and 5 large dogs but here’s hoping. She began writing in middle school but didn’t find her voice until college. As a black woman with 4C hair whose favorite genres primarily featured white brunettes who hated how dull their hair was, she figured it wouldn’t hurt to pick up a pen. Now she writes fantasy novels that feature black women like herself working towards a brighter future.
