Winning, losing, and loving...
See the trials and tribulations of a fraying family from the heartwarming perspective of their dog. Man’s best friend has much to teach about winning, losing, and loving on this emotionally turbulent ride. The movie adaptation stars Milo Ventimiglia, Amanda Seyfried, and Kevin Costner as the voice of the dog, Enzo.

Description

It has always been apparent to Enzo that he is different from other dogs. He feels as if he is a philosopher, with a nearly human soul, living inside of his dog body. He has an obsession and fascination with opposable thumbs and has spent his nearly his entire life educating himself by watching copious amounts of television. The only source of knowledge greater than TV, Enzo often thinks, are the words of his master, Denny Swift, an up and coming race car driver.

Because of Denny, Enzo has gained a peculiar and deep insight into the human condition. He knows he is a dog, of course, but strives to be as much like his companion, Denny, as he possibly can. Enzo comes to realize that life, like racing, isn’t simply about going fast.

On the eve of his death, Enzo reflects on the life he has lives, and recalls all that he and his family have been through together. It is this heart-wrenching affair that leads us to our story, one that is eternally sad yet deeply funny. It is an uplifting story about family, love, loyalty, and hope.

The Art of Racing in the Rain is a gorgeously crafted, captivating, and wondrous book that observe the absurdities of human life, as only a dog could perceive them.
