About this ebook
The VoiceÖ Bible translation is a faithful dynamic translation of the Scriptures done as a collage of compelling narratives, poetry, song, truth, and wisdom. The Voice calls the reader to step into the whole story of Scripture and experience the joy and wonder of GodÆs revelation. Created for and by a church in great transition, The Voice uniquely represents collaboration among scholars, pastors, writers, musicians, poets, and other artists, giving great attention to the beauty of the narrative. The heart of The Voice is retelling the story of the Bible in a form as fluid as modern literary works yet remaining painstakingly true to the original manuscripts. This translation promotes the public reading of longer sections of Scriptureùfollowed by thoughtful engagement with the biblical narrative in its richness and fullness and dramatic flow.
This is an updated and revised version of the New Testament edition, now at an even more affordable price.

Reviews for The Voice Bible, New Testament

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Thank you to Thomas Nelson for my copy of this new version of the New Testament. I was interested in seeing how it would compare to the many already on the market. I must report that I like the way this is handled. The language is easy to understand and furthermore, there are little boxes of additional informational material inserted throughout the text that amplify. Background material on the writer and times that enable the reader to easily relate to the topic at hand. Dialog is perhaps the easiest to understand as it's laid out in script-type format, which makes it quite clear as to who is speaking. However, the additional little boxes of informational material are what would make me hesitate to recommend this version to a new student of the Bible. He or she might become confused and think that what is not scripture is part of God's Word. Although, I think that most people would have no difficulty discerning the difference, I would hate to be a participant in muddying up God's Word. Therefore, I will give it a thumbs up to Bible scholars, but thumbs down as a "first" Bible for anyone else.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It has long been said that if you are STRONG in the bible you should use this concordance. If you are YOUNG, use YOUNG'S concordance. If you might describe yourself as CRUDE...the CRUDENCE concordance might be helpful.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The edition of Strong's Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible is excellent for word-by-word Bible study, or simply looking for a particular topic in the Bible. Its larger print makes it easy on the eyes, and even if your eyesight is good like mine you will appreciate it. It even includes an appendix containing every time words such as "the" or "and" occur in the Bible, which is interesting for someone who wants to know how many times the word "a" is used.Strong's Concordance uses the King James Bible, so you will need to use that translation for reference if you prefer to read another version.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Wonderful concordance! I use it all the time!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I can't recommend it enough. I've been using it for years. If you have a Strong's there is very little, if any, need for any other reference. Just be sure you get an original Strong's--not the New Improved or Strongest Strong's.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Words of Jesus in redKey-word comparison of selected words and phrases in the KJV with 5 leading translations.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Biblical linguistic reference tool for the layman and professional alike. Nowdays, you can actually find software, internet, or other computer versions for little to nothing. The downside is the archaic language (based on King James Version) and the keyed manuscripts themselves (Late Masoretic and Textus Receptus)--you will need a KJV to use this. Don't be a weakling, get Strong's.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5That James Strong produced this work in an age before computers never ceases to amaze me.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5very useful. I'm always wishing I had one at the office.
