About this ebook

Always near. Art stands cold. Beautiful sound. Bleeding eyes of yesterdays dreams. Blinded people. Burn your time. Burning flesh, burning hair. Control the pain. Cries burn the skull. Crippled bodies walk in pain. Dying slow. Etch your name on my flesh. I can feel your screaming pain. I want to see. In your eyes i savor the thirst.

Author

Saint Virgin Peter

I write poetry creating situations and breaking the passivity of the reader. I want to amplify the astonishment of the reader by writing compositions of settings that generate dark poetic images that leave traces and balances on the edge of recognition and alienation. My poetry appears as dark dreamlike images in which fiction and reality meet, well-known tropes merge, meanings shift, past and present fuse. Time and memory always play a key role. By putting the reader on the wrong track, I try to create poetry in which the actual event still has to take place or just has ended: moments evocative of atmosphere and suspense that are not part of a narrative thread. The drama unfolds elsewhere while the build-up of tension is frozen to become the memory of an event that will never take place. My poetry is based on inspiring situations: feeling that reflect a sensation of indisputability and serene contemplation, combined with subtle details of odd or eccentric, humoristic elements. By applying a poetic and often metaphorical language, I wants the reader to become part of the poem as a kind of added component. Poetry is entertainment: to be able to feel and interact with the poem is important. My poetry is given improper functions: significations are inversed and meanings merge. Words are dissociated from their original meaning, by which the system in which they normally function is exposed. Initially unambiguous meanings are shattered and disseminate endlessly.
