About this ebook

It’s 1856 and eighteen year-old Brittania Layton is en route to India to be reunited with her parents, whom she hasn't seen in a decade. During her voyage on the S.S. Cleopatra, Tania’s heart is awakened for the first time when she meets Captain Adrian Fairmont. Her friend, Dr. Adam Baird, steadfast and affable, has only aroused feelings of friendship in her despite his obvious interest. When both men propose to her, she's caught between passion and common sense. If only Adam could arouse in her the passion Adrian does . . . but Tania’s heart burns for the man who may ruin her. And just when civil unrest begins to mount in India and the Sepoys are beginning their mutinous campaign against their British occupiers, Tania is given a very ominous prediction by an Indian guru.
