About this ebook

Triune Faith – by Bill Campbell is a current look at how the true gospel is the foundation of the New Society. An important Resource for those who feel the call to Spiritual purpose, and to Spiritual Leadership in this Age of global Awakening.

Divided into four main Sections
- Eloquence – the light that shines
- Hearing – the ministry of others
- Pleasantness – the power that “excites”
- God’s New Society

Triune Faith addresses the fact that much of what we are calling ministry is a promotion of form, rather than Spiritual ministry.

Many “well intending” individuals have started out with a Spiritual experience; and then, tried to fulfill it in the realm of religious form, rather than further Spiritual experience.

We need to "hear" what the Spirit would say to the church, and to the individual. Simplify.

The false glory needs to be removed, so that the "glory of the Spirit" may come forth. All of these other concerns are like weeds in our hearts. Even the timing, and speed, of religion can become so important as to distract.

    Introduction

Triune Faith is an in depth look at how the true Gospel … is the foundation of the New Society.

The spontaneity, and presence, of God’s Spirit in our lives is the only Gospel … that is respected in this book.

Our traditions may have robbed us of the Gospel of light, and the Spiritual relationship that Jesus, and the apostles of the early church, … spoke of. (St. John chs.14,15,16)

It is my belief … that the principle statement of religious tradition is that there is no faith in the Holy Spirit’s spontaneous presence, thus the need for tradition … rather than obedience and personal destiny.

Introductions to some new understandings are brought out for those seeking God’s life, as they are encouraged to stop, and to behold … what is present.

The Review Breaks in this book encourage the reader to begin to hear, and record, what the Spirit is saying to each one. (St. Luke ch.8)

    Chapter One

    The Call of God

Our Call to Repentance (not tradition)

To have an understanding of the call of God for men and women everywhere to repent makes it easier for us to grasp what the righteous life is. (Acts 17:22-30) There is a difference between religious effort … and God's righteousness that is born out of repentance.

All too often the message of the Gospel has been preached overlooking this whole area, and has settled for just believing in Jesus as one's savior … so that one might go to Heaven when he, or she, dies. This leaves the individual only in the carnal mind-state of a philosophy, and without the Christ experience in their daily lives.

To preach the Gospel without the idea of repentance, is to preach the Gospel without the idea of new birth, the Kingdom of God, or righteousness: and this makes even the act of baptism of no effect. (Luke ch.3, Acts ch.2, Hebrews ch.6)

Repentance is the reconsideration of the purpose of oneself in this earth. It is the reconsideration of our opinion of God's rulership, and intention, over our life. (in the now, today)

Repentance, is changing the set of the will to view God's leadership in our life as all important, rather than that of our own pursuits. (or maybe those that another person has set for us)

There is no religious tradition that can take the place of this Spiritual experience. It is repentance. (St. John 3:1-21)

*It's at this point that faith and hesitation meet to struggle.

This awaking unto Righteousness opens a whole new world, and introduces one to the Kingdom of God. (St. Matthew 6:19-34)

The fact that we were born into a system that predetermined and conditioned our way of thinking from childhood leaves us with the disgusting obstacle that we call our defined set of decision making rules. Every time we are faced with a decision, we reach for our judging ability that we have inherited, and hastily give forth our verdict. (Genesis 3:1-7, Romans 5:12,19) This self-sufficiency, and independence from God, is unrighteousness no matter how we dress it up, and excuse it.

There is only one righteousness, and that is the deed and expression of the Spirit of God … through His people in the earth.

Our good deeds, and religious efforts in this earth, are not necessarily His intentions. They may not be part of His Kingdom expression in our generation. (Acts 1:3,8) Our efforts even to stay away from religion may not always be His intention, and therefore not part of His Kingdom.

He is the Supreme Ruler of His Kingdom, and He demands back that right to express His works, and glory, through each of us. (Romans ch.8) He demands a new start in the individual under the direction of His Spirit. (St. John ch.3, 1 Peter 4:10-11)

Exercising the Call (St. Matthew 4:12-25)

"Now, when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee. (ministry getting ready to do the Call)

And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim: (now, obedience - to fulfill the Word), … that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet saying, the people which sat in darkness saw great light: and light is sprung up. (comp.Isaiah 9:1-7)

(Now, we will see the light arise)

"From that time forward, Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand; and he healed all manner of sickness, and disease.

    Word and Light

"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, ...

    (Now, the shift to light)

And they shall build the old wastes, ... they shall raise up the former desolations, ... and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations." - Luke 4:14-21 (Isaiah 61:1- 4)

    Word, Spirit, Repentance, Light

In the first chapter of the Gospel of John (vs.1-15), we see a definite shift from God declaring message, to God expressing Light. We must always remember the continued use of the word fulfilled by Jesus. (there is a plan)

What we want is to become aware of the eloquent light that springs up in the midst of the darkness, and to know ... why it happens. (because this still continues, today)

The whole idea of the Gospel of Christ is that first the message will be preached, and then, people will be taken (Spiritually) to the experience of the eloquent light.

John the Baptist was filled with the Holy Ghost, and was a witness unto the light. (St. Luke 1:15, St. John 1:6-9) And so we too should recognize (1) our ministry of message, (2) the Spirit that is upon us, and (3) the call from darkness to Light.

We preach the message of repentance, and the washing of baptism. (the preparation to meet God) But God takes that message and enlightens, and baptizes with His Spirit; and then inspires people into witnesses of that Light. (Acts 1:8, 2:4, 14-21, 38-47)

Look at what happened in Jerusalem as Peter preached.

"Then Peter, standing with the eleven, lifted up his voice and said, ... Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost. (here is the message, and the Spirit)

For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

    (here is the light)

Then, they that gladly received his word were baptized: and they continued steadfastly in the apostles doctrine, and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

And all that believed were together, and they continued daily with one accord in the temple, praising God, and having favor with all the people" - Acts ch.2

    Chapter Two

    The Word of God

    Word and Blessing

To know the experience of Kingdom living one must first have a realization of what the word of God is, and come to know the working power of the Word.

Secondly, we need to understand the term blessing, and truly come to know what it means.

The idea of blessing throughout scripture, (whether it be God blessing man, or man blessing God), ... is translated from the Old Testament word, ba'rak (Heb.), ... and the New Testament Greek word, enlogeo. Both of these words mean to pronounce blessed, but the primary meaning is - to convey a gift by potent utterance. (eg. Genesis 1:22,28)

When a man or woman is said to bless God we normally refer to praise, and thanksgiving, but we will soon see that this extends to obedient service and giving; ... and to being and living. (thus, furthering, or fulfilling, ... the utterance) This is the blessing ... that fulfills the call of the Word.

What we see is a realization of Divine intervention. This is God's blessing in the earth: the eloquent light that shines as He fulfills His Word. We are to act (bless) in His name, … only by the word of His Spirit.

    Psalms 145, Nehemiah 9:1-8 (esp.vs.5), St. Luke 1:57-69 (esp.vs.64), St. Luke 24:36-53 (esp.vs.53), St. Matthew ch.13 (esp.vs.16)

When we are introduced to the Gospel, we are introduced to the importance of the Word of God’s Spirit. (St. John ch.1)

    Spirit meeting Word = light

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was God, and the Word became flesh, ... and we beheld His glory. In Him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light" shines in darkness ...

And John bare record saying, "I saw the Spirit descending from Heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.

And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, ... the same said to me, Upon whom you shall see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him: ... the same is he that baptizes with the Holy Ghost. And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God." - St. John ch.1

The Progression in St. John ch.1 is ...

    1. God in His Word (the Power that created all things)

    2. Eternal Glory of God (not of this world)

    3. Life and Light

    4. Power of God

    5. The Word in flesh

    6. The resident Word (the Seed) ... in
