A young coach wakes up in the hospital with a nasty bump on his head. He has no idea how he got there but one thing is obvious, the list of potential suspects includes nearly everyone in this small, racially-charged town. Moses Preston finds himself caught in the middle in a town divided by race. After coaching at the predominantly black school, circumstances that must remain secret, lure him into accepting a job at the predominantly white private school on the other side of town. Blacks are angry because he left. Whites are angry because he came. Everyone has a motive. But, who actually ambushed Coach Preston and left him unconscious in the street? He’s determined to find out. When he settles into his new job, the coach soon uncovers more dirt than he ever knew existed.
