Summary

Laramie Taylor a young twelve year old boy looked forward to attending the new school built in St. Joseph Missouri in the fall of 1856, because it meant less time in the fields working for pa.
Raised by the Cowboy's Code, Laramie learned quickly that you had to have courage, loyalty, and respect for others, however Charles younger was not raised that way, neither was his father Henry, but Laramie would have to teach them a lesson.

When Laramie's new friend, a young black boy was attacked by Henry and Charles Younger,he had to show the utmost courage, and fight back. Striking forty-year-old Henry Younger's Pistol from his hand with a club and stripping him him of his pride. Laramie Taylor let the Younger's know, that you have to have respect for others no matter who or what they are. Laramie taught them by the way of his code.
