    Poems

    Part 1

    50

I am the starshine of the night,

    I light the night bright,

    I am a breathtaking sight

    51

Dropped you off just a little after midnight,

    I told you baby goodnight,

As I held you one last time real tight,

    It didn’t feel right,

    To say goodbye tonight

    52

    This is only the start,

It’s time for us to part,

Put a blade through my heart,

    You’ve been tearing me apart,

I’m no longer a piece of art

    53

Seductive child with your malicious ways,

I wish that you would leave your dark days.

You who are misunderstood in all you do,

Able to bitter-sweetly deceive the best of us too.

    54

I see your face in my mind as I drive away,

Thinking so much I drove for a day,

When I finally pulled over I, was in Monterey,

I spent the day at the bay,

That night looked up at the milky way,

As your face finally started to fade away

    55

    Her name is Noelle,

    She’s a Southern Belle,

She put me under her spell,

    Spend all night raising hell,

She wanted to give him a proper farewell,

    His name was Darnell

    56

    Twisted limbs sagging in despair,

Shading the children and their Au Pair,

When what came along, but a big brown bear,

All they could do was sit and stare,

As that animal rode away on a great white mare

    57

Fishing in a pool of Neverland,

    Isn’t it grand?,

    Won’t you take my hand?

Come with me to this glorious fantasy land

    58

I threw a wish in the well,

    Put you under my spell,

    Met you at the motel,

    But then you fell,

    For a girl named Rochelle,

I’ll see you both in Hell

    59

Summer after high-school when we first met,

She was a long haired brunette,

We drove around in my Chevette,

She was Becca and me I’m Brett,

I always wake up in a cold sweat.

    I always see her silhouette,

    I did something I regret,

    The day I raced Chet,

I always thought of him as a threat,

I had to win that bet,

    I didn’t know he had a Corvette

    Part 2

    60

    Elevator buttons and morning air,

Always striving to be a billionaire,

    It’s hard I swear,

Work always hustles in Times Square

    61

    Beauty queen of only eighteen,

Running around with a guy named Dean,

They always made a big scene,

When he was on the big screen

    62

    I’m not a perfect person,

    I’ve done
