About this ebook

Focus House Publishing is pleased to present “Distilled Shadows.”

Tim Greaton has captured our hearts with his emotional novels "The Santa Shop," "Red Gloves," "Under-Heaven," and "Bones in the Tree." But in this collection of short stories, his imagination takes us to a much darker place, a place where Bigfoot wanders the Louisiana Swamps, a place where a wealthy psychotic novelist lives in squalor by choice, and a place where vampires, werewolves and witches wander the streets in search of criminals to punish.

Inside the pages of “Distilled Shadows” you’ll find the following 8 short stories:

Dustin Jeckle & Mr. Hydel
Violin Intentions
For the Deposit
Violin and the Frog Motion
The Shaft
Once Upon a Stradivarius
Bayou Bigfoot
The Halloween Caper

One reviewer says, "Tim Greaton's fans will follow him to Hell in gasoline raincoats...."

You're invited to find out why.

Oliver, the phone’s for you, Cassie called out.

Oliver lifted his foot from the sewing machine petal and pulled the black cloth away from the needle. I’m working on my costume, he yelled down the stairs. Who is it?

It’s a collect call. Eric Jonestad at the prison? Do you know anyone at the prison?

Oliver left his half-sewn silk cape on the sewing machine and nearly flew down the stairs. No one had heard from their friend Andrew in several weeks. Cassie was standing in the kitchen next to the wall phone, her sleek frame hugged by a tight red dress. The puffy shoulders and sleeves further accentuated her narrow waist. She spun strands of her straight black hair with one finger and made a pouty, red lipstick face.

Witches aren’t supposed to look like you, he said.

Grinning she handed him the phone.

Like what? a deep voice asked as he put the receiver to his ear.
