In March 1889, Detective Sergeant Lyle Thorne abruptly resigned from the Metropolitan Police and began training to become an ordained minister in the Church of England. If Thorne had anticipated a quiet, uneventful life at Sanditon vicarage, he was to be disappointed, for his reputation as an investigator attracted a succession of 'clients' each with a remarkable tale.
Ray Moore was born in Nottingham, England in 1950. He obtained his Masters Degree in Literature at Lancaster University in 1974 and then taught in secondary education for twenty-eight years before moving to Florida with his wife in 2002.
For the next ten years, he taught English and Information Technology in the International Baccalaureate Program at Vanguard High School in Ocala. He retired in July 2012 and is now a full-time writer and fitness fanatic.read more
