Recently divorced Sarah is ready to venture back into the dating scene so she agrees to dress up in a costume and attend a sword and sorcery party being held at a convention. To get in free she is told she must wear a sword. Sarah agrees but finds the entire requirement silly along with her poorly fitted costume.

Separated from her friends Sarah encounters another party-goer in the hallway leading to the convention center. His costume is far beyond the quality of her dress but it isn't his clothing that captures her attention, it's something about the bone structure of his face.

Sarah can't help but stare, trying to see through his makeup even when her intuition hints that it can't be theatrical trickery. Growing more intrigued and confused by the moment, Sarah isn't prepared for what happens next --
