About this ebook

Mercy is the refusal to inflict harm under circumstances of provocation, when one has the power to inflict it. It's the compassionate treatment of an offender or adversary. It could also be seen as a compassionate treatment of the unfortunate and helpless; sometimes favour. Mercy is the disposition to exercise compassion; willingness to spare or to help.

We serve a God of Justice & Righteousness but there is an attribute of this great God which is the exact opposite of His wrath; that is His Mercy. This book deals decisively on the efficacy of God`s profound Mercy in the life of His children. It will show you how to live a life above condemnation - it can position you for a better walk with God.

    ACKNOWLEDGMENT

I have sat under great preachers & teachers whose contributions have made me who I am today. To all of such persons, I want to say a very big THANK YOU. To everyone who believes in the anointing of God upon my life; your smiles & testimonies have given me more reasons to lay down my life on the altar. I thank you all.

To my spiritual father - Dr. A. O. Akoria; a seasoned & prolific writer per excellence, the foundation God used you to lay several years ago in my life has become stronger than ever. I am very grateful.

To Pastor James John; you came into my life as a friend in ministry, I latter saw you as my senior pastor – when I became part of the Gospel House. But, with time you have proven to be more than that in my life; you have been a father indeed. Thank you sir for everything.

To all my friends in ministry; space will not permit me to call you all by names, but from the depth of my heart I love you all. This journey would have been too lonely and frustrating without you guys in my life. Your presence has been a big PLUS, I LOVE YOU ALL!

    PROLOGUE

Mercy is the refusal to inflict harm under circumstances of provocation, when one has the power to inflict it. It's the compassionate treatment of an offender or adversary. It could also be seen as a compassionate treatment of the unfortunate and helpless; sometimes favour. Mercy is the disposition to exercise compassion; willingness to spare or to help.

When Jesus was born, Mercy was born. When He came to this world, Mercy came to this world. When He was rejected by His own (John 1:11-12), they were rejecting mercy. Mercy came to them freely but they never knew Him so they rejected Mercy.

When Herod heard about His birth and began to fight, Herod was fighting Mercy from reaching humanity. Mercy was persecuted by many - Pharisees, Sadducees, Scribes, etc. They fought mercy and persecuted Mercy but they couldn't stop Him, Mercy prevailed.

All that the devil did in the garden of Eden was to make man lost his ruler ship and authority on earth, God had blessed man and given man the dominion to multiply and subdue this earth, but that same dominion was fought against and taken by that old serpent the devil. When Mercy came, He came to restore all the devil stole (John 10:10b). Mercy came to give us back all that we lost; He came to give them back to us in abundance.

Mercy can restore. Mercy walked on the face of the earth for 33 1/2 years to give direction to humanity - all the battles the Pharisees fought against Him was actually a battle against humanity
