SWEET ROMANCE: The road where Cornwall’s Apple Barn Cottage sat disappeared at the edge of the steep cliff. At the far end of the 100 foot long barn, sat a quaint dwelling looking down upon Falmouth Harbor. Lady could see herself curling up in front of the inglenook near the wood-burner with two feet up and reading a New York Times best seller. Before leaving she checked out the upstairs bedrooms. Taking the old stone staircase she discovered open-roofed, dark-floored bedrooms, with a shared hose-down shower and a balcony. Down below a muscular beachcomber picked up pretty seashells and women trailing behind him. He paused and looked up at her, removed his shirt and waved. Flushed and trembling she blew a kiss back . . .
