Who We Are

Dedication

First, I dedicate this book and everything I do to God our Heavenly Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. He said I can do all things through Him, Jesus Christ, who strengthens me, and I stand on His word.

I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

With the warmest regards and greatest expectation, I dedicate this book to all my readers who may at times feel a little discontent and empty inside and may be searching for their destiny and true purpose in life. I dedicate this book to all of you who at times may be feeling weak in spirit and defeated, not living the life that God purposed for you. God is waiting and willing to refresh and strengthen you through Jesus Christ.

Author Preface

I give thanks to God for His love, his patience, and his mercy on me. I thank God for His guidance, and divine inspiration in the writing of this book. I pray that each of you are touched and changed through His message. I thank the Lord that someone in my lineage cared enough about me to pray for my soul. If you have stumbled on this book, someone cared enough to pray for you too.

One of my greatest desires and ultimate goals in life are to reach out globally and touch the very core of people’s spirits which are tired of their life being filled with chaos and defeat. To reach out to people who are tired of living beneath their capacity and their God given privilege. People tired of life grabbing them by the horns contrary to taking life by the horns. Before peace and joy are obtainable, we must first understand and recognize the true purpose and meaning of life, and the soaring spirit that God can place within us. Everyone will face some daily struggles and possibly face something in life that may overwhelm them for a time, but through Christ Jesus, triumph and victory are not far from you.

My prayer is for God to send one million plus hungry souls my way that I may boldly minister to them this life-changing message. As I search out scriptures for writing this book, I pray and ask God to feed the spiritually hungry soul with the courage, knowledge and the desire to utilize these life-altering tools that He is more than willing to equip them with to change and restore their life.

Everything has its own time, and there is a specific time for every activity under heaven: Ecclesiastics 3:1

Created With Purpose

Or

Purposely Created

By The Hand Of God

God’s design for us was to become addicted to Him, His love, and His Holy Spirit, which not only will lead us to an abundant life, but salvation.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

Introduction

God’s design for us

You may not be aware of the fact or have embraced the truth that your heavenly father, God almighty thought about you and knitted you together before your parents even knew you. Your heavenly father, God almighty had plans for your life before you were born. God did not create you and me to live a life of aggravation, stress, sickness, poverty, and defeat.

The written Word of God says, I am the LORD that heals you Exodus 15:26

He has also declared in his word, But you shall remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that give you power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he swore unto your fathers. Deuteronomy 8:18

In addition, Jesus has reminded us more than once, "If you abide in me and my words abide in you, you can ask for anything you want, and you will receive it John 15:7

There have been many misconceptions about God and His true nature. Often times in many renaissance paintings as well as with many legalistic religious leaders, God is portrayed as angry or a big god sitting up high, looking below, waiting for one of us to fail. This is not true; in fact, it could not be further from the truth. God knew how unholy and unworthy we were when He gave his only begotten son, Jesus to die on the cross for our sins.

Our weaknesses, our failures, and our sinful nature are no surprise to God. In the bible, when the woman was caught in the act of adultery and brought to Jesus to be judged, He was the only one who did not condemn her. God is loving, kind, and gentle. God gives his love to us in abundance, and it is a pure love.

The Scribes and Pharisees actually used this sin against the woman to try and trap Jesus into condoning sin, but Jesus did not condemn nor did He condone the sin. He simply said after stalling awhile and writing in the sand, you without sin, cast the first stone… He did not say that she did not sin, but he made a point to show everyone is sinful and there is none without sin. They all withdrew from their position on this matter. God does not accept or allow sin, but will forgive you for it.

There is therefore now no condemnation to them, which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8:1

There is a time for grace and there will be a time for Judgment.

We are now in the time of grace…

God saved us and called us to be holy, not because of what we had done, but because of his own plan and kindness. Before the world began, God planned that Christ Jesus would show us God's kindness. ll Timothy 1:19

God wants to lavish His love on each of us. God's love is not bestowed upon us according to our works or the condition that we are perfect. God’s love toward us was established through the gift of His Son Jesus Christ, and the precious blood He shed on the cross. God’s gift to us was unconditional. Jesus must be highly offended and maybe even angry at our efforts to try and work for our salvation. Working for our salvation is sort of like insinuating our human works or acts are helping His blood to save us. That human act is simply impossible!

Ephesians 2:9 says, salvation is not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.

That would be considered self-righteous. On the other side of the coin, we are not to abuse his grace and love. We are not to trample all over Jesus’ precious blood and abuse his saving grace.

God knew we were human and would never live up to perfection, and that we could not save ourselves. That is why Jesus, the one who is perfect, died in our place, for our sins. God’s love for us is so great that He calls you and me his children. His design and creation for us originated from his heart. If you are a parent, you know that every waking moment our heart and mind are constantly focused on our children and their well-being. Our heart hurts when our children hurt, and we are happy when they are happy. We feel a sense of comfort when they are safe, etc.

The emotions that we experience with our children are the exact same emotion God, our heavenly father feels toward us. His design for us is to become devoted to Him, His love, and His Holy Spirit, which will lead us to a personal relationship with him and an abundant life here on earth as well as salvation. While it's true this world is not our home, we're only passing through, God wants us to prosper and be in good health even as our soul prospers and has provided everything we need to do so. This book will reveal this truth about God to you.

God desires to be in our life and have a personal relationship with us more than most of us desire to have a personal relationship with him. God knew us before we were conceived.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

Introduction to the bible

God inspired men of old in writing a book called the Bible.

The Bible is God’s holy word passed down to all of us, His children, for the purpose of knowing who we are, and how special we are to Him who created us. The Bible gives us a path that God has instructed us to follow. If we follow this path, we will enter into a personal relationship with God and be able to live a victorious life on earth and then gain eternal life.

The bible is the central religious teachings of Judaism and Christianity and consists mainly of two testaments, the Old and the New. In the bible, the first five books of the Old Testament are known as the books of Moses, the Torah sometimes is translated as the law. The Old Testament, the Torah means teachings or instructions.

God established a set of laws for all the children of Israel to follow called the Ten Commandments. These laws were given to instruct them how He wants them to submit to the way of righteousness and holiness, so they can enjoy true peace with Him. The Torah contains six hundred and thirteen Mitzvot (commandments) The Old Testament is the covenantal relationship and understanding God developed with the Children of Israel,

The New Testament is also an established covenant presented to us from God. The New Testament will instruct, guide, and lead us to eternal salvation through the gift and grace of God through the life of Jesus, the Son of God, the Christ, and the Messiah.. By faith, we learn to trust in Jesus and are therefore, able to live an abundant life on earth and gain eternal life. Christ literally means the anointed one.

In addition, all the prophets testify that people who believe in the one named Jesus receive forgiveness for their sins through him." Acts 10:43

And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12

Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers. 3 John 1:2

You would be surprised at the number of people who feel that God wants them to suffer in this life in order to show their love or appreciation toward him. God gave the world his only begotten son, Jesus, who yielded his life for us and for our sins, why would He want us to suffer too?

Most Christians and non-Christians alike feel we have chosen God when, in fact, the written word says we cannot come to the father, unless He calls us.

So he added, That is why I told you that people cannot come to me unless the Father provides the way. John 6:65

When we do not know who we are in Christ or the love and sacrifice He endured for us, and the calling on our life, our spirit can easily be tossed to-and-fro in the wind. Often times we will be like a sailboat without a mainsail on a raging sea. When we have a broken or unsupervised spirit, we take on characteristics that are destructive to our soul and have the ability to keep us from enjoying the lifestyle and discovering the purpose God intended for our life.

Many professing Christians do not have a true spiritual bond or relationship with Christ; they lack the desire or knowledge to enjoy the personal fellowship with him. In the Old Testament, when God handed Moses the Ten Commandments for the children of Israel to follow, the first Commandment proclaimed you should have no other gods before me. When we as professing Christian only allow God a part of our life, and do not fully believe and trust His word, we fail to discover who we are and our true purpose, and we fail to enjoy the help and the benefits we were given to possess on this Earth.

Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Psalm 103:1-2

I don’t know about you, but I want and need all the love and benefits that God has for me. I want nothing more or nothing less. If God has ordained and declared it, I want it.

Uncertainty leads to instability. When we are unstable in our ways, we have the potential to eat, drink, live, love and marry unhappiness. We work twice as hard trying to be happy with more material goods than we really need, all for the sake of trying to fill an empty space in our heart and life. This is a room which God himself intended to be His dwelling place.

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.. Genesis 1:27

I will give you praise, for I am strangely and delicately formed; your works are great wonders, and of this my soul knows that right well. Psalm 139:13

God did not place any of us on this Earth to run wild and do our own thing, although He gave us the free will to do so if we choose to. Jesus was born into this world in a fleshly manner just like you and me. He was a baby, grew up, taught and trained the apostles on how to love, live, preach, teach and heal others. He filled them with his spirit and commanded them to pass on the same instructions to the rest of us. Once we have learned of Jesus and His excruciating, sacrificial death for our sins and our salvation, we should be more than willing to repent and receive His spirit just as his disciples were anxious to carry on His name and his mission. Once we accept Christ into our life, we are to be filled with his Holy Spirit.

Once we are filled with his Holy Spirit, we are to be like the apostles and build up God's kingdom with His preaching and teaching, and healing in our lost and dying world. We live in a sick world; each of us has a sufficient amount of work to do.

Imagine you had 4 children to feed, clothe and keep a roof over their head, and on top of that, you were heavily in debt. One day you lose your job, the next your car breaks down and before you know it, you are behind in all your bills. In desperation, you call your elderly mother for help, and she lends you money from her savings. Instead of paying your bills or putting the money in savings, you take your family on vacation to Disneyland. You acted irresponsibly with your own mother’s life savings; she is devastated by your behavior and lack of respect. You broke her heart and you have jeopardized your family’s well being.

In this same way most of us take God’s gift of love and the precious blood sacrifice of Jesus so mildly that it is, as if we spit upon Him, we wound Him, and put Him back on the cross to be sacrificed again and again. Our feelings disconnect and our heart becomes callus when we put our desires before the plans of Jesus. He loves you. He is your Father, your God, your Redeemer, and your Savior! Jesus gave His life on the cross for you and me, to save us from a burning hell. He looks upon the sin in our lives, and the hell in which we are destined for eternity without Him and knocks on our heart's door waiting patiently for us to open up for him to enter.

Look, I'm standing at the door and knocking. If anyone listens to my voice and opens the door, I'll come in and we'll eat together. Revelations 3:20

When we make poor choices our decisions involve others not just ourselves. We need to be responsible and take decisions that will benefit our life and the life of the people we are responsible for.

Pray that the LORD your God will tell us where we should go and what we should do." Jeremiah 42:3

How Would You Describe Your Life in General?

Though I believe most people live a decent life from day to day, most of us carry memories and scars so deep and wide that we would like nothing more than to erase them from our mind forever. Since the beginning of time, humans have desired love. God created Adam in His own image and breathed the breath of life into his nostrils. God created an entire paradise for him with everything he could ever want, but God saw loneliness in Adam's heart. God cared so much about Adam it hurt him to see his loneliness.

Adam was God’s creation and He wanted to fulfill his every need. He caused a deep sleep to fall upon him and took one of his ribs to make him a wife. If you give
