This manual traces the struggles and triumphs of a consecrated soldier of God. His personal struggles centered on his extremely low self-esteem that began in childhood and worsened as he became an adult who compared himself to others. His ministerial struggles emerged from the discrepancy between his expectations for the people who frequently warmed the pews of his early churches and their perceptions of their Christian responsibilities.
His personal triumphs were realized as he discovered he had skills and abilities that could be developed and expanded as he exercised faith by taking action. His ministerial triumphs came to fruition after God revealed to Charles the true roles of the preacher and his parishioners.
He became a successful minister who experienced significant growth in discipleship, evangelism, and worship within each church he pastored. As Charles led individual members to be mature witnesses for Christ in their workplaces and communities, he became aware that each church also prospered as an organization.
Brother Charles, as he is affectionately called, is eighty-six years old, and his bucket list consists of a few heavenly desires. One desire is that this manual may be a catalyst for helping born-again Christians feel special, leading each saint to let his life be a sermon that will cause unsaved sinners to seek the saving grace of our risen Lord. Each pew warmer has the power to influence others to accept salvation.
