Description

New York City, May 2000. The Internet bubble has burst and Evan, a computer programmer, is fired with an email from his boss. The next day, his girlfriend dumps him, also via email. Afraid to check any more emails, Evan desperately seeks a rebound romance but the catastrophes that ensue go from bad to hilariously worse.

Fortunately, Evan meets Sammy -- someone whose legendary disasters with females eclipse even his own. To reverse their fortunes, they recruit their friends -- Trevor, Yi, and Carlos -- to form a group of five guys who take on Manhattan in pursuit of dates, sex, and adventure.

When Evan, a closet writer, falls desperately in love with a Hollywood starlet, he schemes to meet her by writing a novel that will sweep her off her feet. Sammy knows nothing about publishing but is confident of one thing: Evan's book should have the word "sex" in the title.

With musings about life, relationships, and human psychology, this quintessential New York story about the search for happiness follows five men on their comical paths to trouble, self-discovery, and love.

Sex In The Title is a romantic comedy written in a guy's POV. It's a book about about 5 guys in NYC looking for love, sex and relationships but then discovering and learning alot about themselves along the way. I really LOVED this book! I instantly fell in love with each of the 5 characters even with all their quirky personalities, crazy ideas about sex and love and the insane and almost unbelievable situations they found themselves in throughout the book! I was either laugh and shaking my head or yelling, "You have GOT to be kidding me! That just didn't happen!"In Sex In The Title, Zack Love takes you on a witty, hilarious, crazy ride though the minds (and hearts) of these 5 guys. They'll have you laughing out laugh, yelling and cheering them on, and even pulling at your heartstrings! Definitely a GREAT READ :)

Sex in the Title is a different type of romantic comedy, written from the male point-of-view. I appreciate the effort that went into it and the humor Mr. Love imbued it with.

While I enjoyed the book overall, I thought the characters to be rather uninspiring and bland. I would’ve liked to see more effort go into their development.

I do recommend it if you are looking for a great giggle. Enjoy it in the manner it is intended and I hope Mr. Love will write more and show us what he can really do

Following the days in the lives of Evan, Carlos, Trevor, Yi Wang, and Sammy was a funny ride. There is so much in this book, it is hard to decide what to talk about or what would be giving away too much. The punch lines won't translate well... The mishaps won't come across just right.
So what I will say is that there is no other story out there like this, well none that I have come across. These men are clueless and just trying to fill the dull moments of their lives. Hopefully, finding love or something like it along the way.
I laughed and laughed. What makes this story funny is the reality of some of it. I mean, seriously, if you don't know someone like each one or just one of these characters, then you are living under a rock... A very large, heavy son of a mother of a rock! Their personalities are likable and laughable.
I recommend this book if you are looking for a non-stop laugh. This book truly does have it all! All of the stereotypes. All of the everyday hang-ups. I could go on and on.
