She stepped into the tavern and looked about. It was just as she expected it to be. Smokey and dark filled with people who were there to be seen, as she was herself. After a moment she saw one of the two people she was looking for and stepped to the side. He nodded and wove his way through the room to her side.
Shorter than most men around him, he was a striking figure in his black silk suit. The shining black hair swept back from his brow and his golden eyes smiled at the woman before him. I see you made it here, Elizabeth-chan, that is good. Was there any difficulty with your connections?
Elizabeth shook her blond mane, smiling tentatively. Not at all Kemi-san. Your travel agent made sure everything was simple and I am very thankful for that.
He flashed her a very white smile. It was nothing, dear. Nothing more than I owed you both.
His voice had dropped down low as they neared a table and he gestured for her to take a seat. I wish to say you look lovely tonight, Elizabeth-chan. The color of your ensemble is quite fetching with your coloring.
Blushing, Elizabeth smoothed her sapphire blue silken tunic down over the skintight black Lycra leggings she wore underneath. I wasn't sure. I haven't gone out to a place like this.
She sat and crossed her legs, the over the knee black leather boots creaking quietly.
It is perfect. You stand out just enough from the rest of the ladies here.
He looked across the room toward a tall, dark-haired young man. He will be pleasantly surprised I think.
