~Excerpt~

The room was pitch black. I took a tentative step inside before I heard the door shut firmly behind me. There was no movement of sound for a long moment, and then I heard Max flip a light switch behind me. The dim yellow lights flickered awake with a low hum. The apartment was incredibly bare. It was just one single room. There was a small sink and refrigerator in the corner. In the other far corner a plain, small bed sat covered in a thin, cotton blanket. there was a small set of three drawers next to the bed, serving as a nightstand.

I started to try and give a fake compliment to the hovel, but Max shoved me into the wall before I could get out “You’ve”. Max was kissing me with both hands held against the wall. After a brief moment of shock, I reciprocated, letting my mouth be invaded by his eager tongue. His hands were angry and wandering. They grasped and groped at me, pulling at my clothes. I let him pull my t-shirt over my head. His mouth went to kiss and bite at my neck and collarbones. He was fierce, and it had my mind screaming out with delight. But I knew I wanted something else.

I pushed Max down onto the bed and dove for his belt. I unhooked his belt, and started pulling at his fly. I felt a strong hand grasp around my wrist. I stopped and looked up at him. He had a strong, hungry look on his face. We stared at each other for nearly a full minute before he gave me a slow, small grin. I took that as all the clue I needed. I dove back down, undid his fly, and pulled his jeans off.
