Frankie’s father joins a Christian dating site (despite not being particularly religious) soon after divorcing his drug-addicted wife and meets Madge, a “morally conservative hippie” who believes everything that happens in her life is God’s will.
A strange series of events takes place that traps Frankie and Madge (who recently gave birth) in a remote location on one of the hottest days of the year. She accidentally drinks what little water they had, which obviously means a higher power wants her to “feed” Frankie in the most biologically natural way there is!
When they get home, more events lead her to assume that the two are ordained to go on a spiritual journey together that involves daily lovemaking. Frankie really does get spiritual, finding himself “worshiping” Madge’s soft body in an almost literal sense. But how long will the spiritual journey last?

“Oh, my God!” she cried. “Frankie, I’m so sorry! I’m half out of my mind with no sleep or food. I can’t believe I did that!” I stared dumbly at the container, wondering how far I could make it on that hot day without a drop of water. Madge rushed over and knelt down next to me, taking my arm. “Frankie, I swear I didn’t do it on purpose!”
“I know you didn’t. Don’t feel bad. Let’s just keep moving.” I struggled to get up, but stood too quickly and became dizzy, falling back to the ground with a grunt.
“Frankie, I’m so sorry,” she said with a look of sheer distress on her face. As I lay on the grass trying to get my bearings, she looked down at her dress. Suddenly she seemed to have an epiphany. As I watched in stunned disbelief, she undid the top five or six buttons and pulled it open to reveal her bare chest. “Come here, Frankie. It’s the only way.”
